MasterMind Scholarship 2022 from the Government of Flanders – Apply Now

Students from all over the world can now apply for the government of Flanders MasterMind scholarship 2022, which is now fully financed. The Flemish Ministry of Education and Training grants scholarships to outstanding students from all over the world for master’s programs in Flanders and Brussels. A Master Mind Scholarship consists of a €8 400 grant with a tuition price remission for one academic year (60 ECTS).

Only an administrative enrolling fee is charged to Master Mind Scholarship recipients. The stipend is given in installments and covers housing, insurance, and a substantial portion of their living expenses. If you are interested, you must first apply to one of the Master Mind Scholarship Program’s participating Flemish host institutions.

Details

For a master’s program of 60 ECTS, mobility lasts one academic year; for a master’s program of 120 ECTS, mobility lasts two academic years.

According to the parameters listed in the section Payment of the scholarship, the prospective student will receive a maximum stipend of €8 400 every academic year.

The last installment of €1 400 will not be paid if a student completes a one-year Master’s program but does not receive a Master’s degree by the end of the academic year in 2023 (July or September).

In the event of a two-year Master’s program, at least 54 ECTS must be earned in the first academic year in 2023 (July or September) in order to be eligible for the last installment of €1 400 and the scholarship for the second academic year. More details can be found in the section about scholarship payment.

VLUHR can only make exceptions to this provision if the hosting institution and the Department of Education and Training agree.

The host institution can charge the applicant a tuition cost that is equal to the lowest annual tuition fee for a student receiving a Flemish government study grant. For the academic year 2022-2023, the rate is €115,80. This rate may gradually increase from year to year.

If a student loses his or her scholarship, he or she will be required to pay the entire tuition cost if they wish to continue with the program.
